In equatorial Africa, research has shown that flat plate collectors are the most durable and safest option for solar water heating. Vacuum tubes have been known to break when mishandled or crack under high Sub-Saharan temperatures. Therefore, Sunraserg provides flat plate solar water heating collectors that are designed to outlast two decades.

Sunraserg flat plate collectors are locally made with the high grade materials. The frame is made from mild steel that is cut and bent by CNC and finally powder-coated to prevent corrosion. Copper pipe manufactured to the requirements of ASTM B 42 is used to transfer the heat to the water passing through it. Tempered glass that can withstand the harshest weather is used to trap the sun’s energy within the collector.

For me, the main arguments in support of local manufacturing are that it creates connections within communities, provides jobs, and enables ongoing conversation in perfecting a product. Local manufacturing is never going to be the cheapest option, but the proximity between producer and buyer can help form great working relationships. These relationships are essential in getting a product just right.

  • Lightweight and portable
  • Easily laminated with epoxy resin
  • High thermal insulation
  • Ideal for outdoor works
  • Resistant to Moisture
  • Extremely durable
  • Compression resistant
  • Low price
